Temperament

The Boston Terrier can be calm, alert, and mannered. Many still retain the typical attitude of the terrier. The Boston Terrier is playful and affectionate and likes to be part of a family. It is a popular breed of dog in the United States, due to its unique, fun loving temprement. Having been bred as a companion dog, they like being aroundhumans, and if properly socialized get along well with children, and other canines, and non-canine pets. Boston Terriers can be very effectionate, while others are more independent.

Appearance

The Boston Terrier is characteristically marked with white in proportion to either black, brindle, seal, or a combination of the three colours. small, compactly built, well proportioned, dogs with erect ears, short tails, and a short snout. Due to the Boston Terrier's markings resembling formal dressing, it is referred to as the 'American Gentleman'.

Health

Boston Terriers are prone to heat, which is due to shortened muzzle. Because of their small snouts, they do usually snort and snore.Which can be signs of serious health issues such as narrow trachea and pinched nares. Boston also have large eyes, which makes them prone to ulcers or minor injuries to their cornea.
